Outreach

At Living Hope Lutheran, we recognize that God has a great purpose for us in shining the light of the Gospel in our world and relationships. We take seriously the Great Commission in which Jesus says, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20). 

We equip and encourage each other in witnessing in our relationships. We recognize that witnessing can be scary, but we remember that God will lead us in His perfect timing. We periodically offer the witnessing training/learning course “Everyone His Witness”. “Everyone His Witness” was produced by the National Office of Mission of the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod.   

A few core concepts we think of with witnessing. One idea is- Make a friend. Be a friend. Bring that friend to Jesus. Another idea comes from “Everyone His Witness”. This is the concept of LASSIE. Listen, Ask, Seek, Share, Invite, and Encourage.
